The further into April we get, the colder it’s becoming. For anyone living down here in the southern hemisphere that is. Something that I’ve struggled for a long time with is jeans and I know what you’re thinking, jeans are great what’s not to love? Truth be told whenever I wore them I just felt so plain like there was nothing to set me aside from everyone else and when it comes to fashion, feeling confident is the most important aspect.
Skip ahead to this winter and I have made a pact to put more effort into styling jeans and wearing them in fun and different ways. Jeans are definitely a classic and staple for every girl’s winter wardrobe so I thought it would be fun to show you all 5 different ways to style them.
Okay, first things first before I even start to style an outfit I head over to pinterest to try and get some much- needed inspiration. Fortunately I’ve already spent hours putting together a pinterest board specifically for styling jeans, and if you want some inspiration simply check it out! // here.
Jeans are perfect for those days when you want to look good but not put in too much effort with your outfit. Just throw on any basic tee with a long coat, some sneakers, your favourite pair of jeans and you’re ready! Simple as that.
Although jeans can often be deemed as ‘too casual’ for work, I’m here to argue the point. While they can be worn casually jeans can also be dressed up for a more chic look. Tuck a white button down shirt into high waisted jeans, throw on a structured blazer, add some heels, a statement colour bag and voila. A perfectly sophisticated look.
3. Runway Ready
High fashion jeans? Of course! All you need are the right pieces and before you know you it, you’ll be runway ready. Take a basic pair of ripped jeans add a crop shirt, long fur coat (faux fur ofc!), statement shoes, classic bag and you’re good to go.
There are so many ways to spice up a pair of jeans! Start with dark wash ripped skinny jeans. Add a silk camisole, throw on a cropped leather jacket, black ankle boots, your favourite shoulder bag and there you go.
Beautiful floaty feels can be achieved through styling jeans the right way. Start with a bell-sleeve top and tuck it into a pair of high-waisted light was denim jeans. Throw on a light coloured crop blazer, open-toe heels and finish the look with a beautiful bag. Just like that you’ve turned jeans into a totally feminine outfit.
