Raise your hand if you love to travel! *Raises both hands* There is nothing better than travelling, if you have any doubts I have an entire post about why travel is good for the soul // here. While I am still young, there are so many beautiful places I’ve been blessed to of been able to visit. Some are those big cities we all dream of, others are hidden sanctuaries I’ve fallen in love with. I wanted to share them all with you. Here are all my best travel destinations… So far!
Kaiteriteri, Nelson, New Zealand
For as long as I can remember I have spent my summers in Kaiteriteri. Located near the top of the South Island in New Zealand, the sun always seems to be shining. If you want an escape from the world in the form of golden sands and crystal clear water, look no further. Kaiteriteri is a beautiful beach surrounded by bays and darling bush walks.
Burano, Venice, Italy
If you’ve ever seen the colourful buildings on Instagram and wondered where they were, they’re in Burano. I can confirm right now Burano looks just like it does in the pictures. Quaint and insanely colourful! If you’re visiting Venice, take a day and see Burano. The buildings themselves are enough of an attraction, as well as the perfect place to just relax. Eat some insanely delicious gelato and take those gram worthy pics!
Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy
Okay, if any of you follow any travel bloggers on Instagram I guarantee you’ve seen pictures of Positano. By far one of the most photogenic places I’ve ever had the fortune of visiting. A gorgeous cliff village, filled with a days worth of shopping, swimming and tanning. If you pick the right day, this place is to die for! It’s quite the drive from Rome, but 100% worth it. The perfect place to take a day or two for yourself to just relax.
Venice is a dream. All those pictures you’ve seen of Venice, don’t do the city justice. From the moment we arrived I was in love. The beautiful old buildings, quaint cafes and let’s not forget the canals! Even the metro in Venice is boats, it’s incredible. While I may just be using a whole heap of adjectives, I mean it when I say you NEED to see Venice for yourself. If you visit in summer, the sun is always out and the sky is always blue.
New York, USA
I’m a city girl born and breed, so the moment I stepped out of Penn Station and into New York City my heart stopped, this is where I’m going to live someday. I decided right there in that moment. This city is something else, with it’s own beating heart. Filled with such a rich and diverse history, there is so much more than what meets the eye. Having seven days here, I was able to truly explore. Although, there are a still a million things left to see. Even if you aren’t the kind to love busy cities this place is an absolute MUST. There are so many amazing museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants, shows and attractions. New York is a cultural hub that never stops.
Disneyland, California, USA
Welcome to that happiest place on earth. Whether you’re fifteen or fifty-two Disneyland brings a smile to everyone’s face. Having never been to a theme park before I had no idea what to expect but stepping into Disneyland is like entering another world. A truly magical universe where all you’re favourite childhood characters come to life. If not for the rides go for the atmosphere. But be warned, I went during peak seasons and those lines are another thing, 2 maybe 3 hours for one ride. Make sure to pack snacks and leave two or three days if you really want to try everything, it’s a massive theme park.
