My Weekend Makeup Routine From Day to Night

I’m baaaaack! Finally, I’ve missed this so so much. If  there is one thing I love, it’s makeup. Eyeshadow, contour, eyeliner, the whole nine yards. Of course as someone who goes to school with a uniform, I can’t go crazy on a daily basis. Instead the glitter is reserved for the weekend. Which is exactly why I decided to show you all my weekend makeup routine!

Because I have such sensitive skin, I tend to stay away from primers. Instead I use a moisturiser as my base and it works perfectly! This one here is the best for sensitive skin, it has no scent and applies really well.

Next I go in with my absolute favourite foundation! Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, I keep this foundation for special occasions, which is exactly what a weekend is! This foundation is amazing, it leaves the skin looking flawless and glowing. I love it for oily skin because it leaves skin dewy but not looking greasy. If dewy isn’t the look you’re going for, I have an entire post on my 5 favourite high end foundations for oily skin! All with different finishes and all perfect for oily skin, have a read // here.

Next, I cream contour. Using the Hoola Contour stick by Benefit, which works like a dream! I use this to sculpt out my cheek bones and add some definition to my jawline. Blending that into my skin with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. In addition to cream contouring, I also go over the cream with the Hoole Bronzer powder by Benefit. Taking my Real Techniques contour brush I use the powder to clean up the contour and make it just that tad more defined.

After the cream products I take my Clinique Loose Powder and my Sephora Powder Brush to set my face. Patting the powder gently over my T-zone. As a girl with oily skin, this powder has served me so well. It never looks cakey yet it always keeps my skin matte.

After I’ve laid down my base I move onto eyes. The first thing I do is use my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer, something I never thought I’d use but turns out I love it! This baby makes sure my eyeshadows stay on all day and night.

When it comes to eyeshadow I have my holy grail palettes. The first being my Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. This baby is fairly new to my collection but already so well loved! The formula for these is too die for, so so pigmented ahhh I’m obsessed! Combined with my other favourite palette, Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, it’s a dream combination.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with warm tones, something about summer and warmer weather has got me wearing nothing but oranges and reds on my lids. In order to achieve this I use a mixture of colours from multiple palettes.

To make this look happen, I used, Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour, Too Faced Sweet Peach, Urban Decay Jean Micheal Basquiat and Urban Decay Single in Relish. All of which are photographed above. Obviously you guys don’t need all these palettes to create a similar look, I haven’t got around to investing in any warm toned palettes so I’ve just been mixing and matching to create a warm look. If you have one warm toned palette I’m sure you could create this look from those palettes alone. Some of the best warm toned palettes I’ve tried (but unfortunately don’t own) are, INSERT WARM TONED EYESHADOW PALETTES. Of course, I add some sparkle for the perfect transition from day to night!

Once the eyeshadow’s finished, I like to add some black eyeliner to my waterline. The one I use is by Chi Chi, it’s probably not the best eyeliner out there but for your waterline, the pigment is decent and it’s easy to apply. Finally, I add mascara. My current favourite is the Rollerlash by Benefit. I love this mascara because it isn’t clumpy and really helps to open up my eyes.

Now my eyes are finished, eyebrows are next. I start with my Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil by Benefit. This baby is a dream! First, I take the spoolie and brush through my brows, then I use the pencil end to gently feather through my brows. After this I brush my brows out and take my Gimme Brow by Benefit (I promise this post isn’t sponsored by Benefit I just love their makeup!) With a really light hand I add the Gimme Brow. I love this gel because as a girl with sparse brows naturally this baby creates the illusion of thicker more full eyebrows. It’s insanely easy to use and apply!

Now it’s back to my face for the finishing touches. For some reason I always do my highlight last. Right now all I use is the Becca Skin Illuminator in Champagne Pop, which is her collaboration with Jaclyn Hill. I cannot say enough good things about these highlighters. They are beautiful, and the pigment is to die for. I like to apply my highlight with my finger, just on my cheekbones to add a pop and finish the look.

Finally, it’s time for lips. Lately lipsticks have been my new obsession and I’ve started investing in quite the collection. To go with this warm look I like to use a fairly neutral lipstick with a bit of colour. It’s Lolita by Kat Von D the shade name might sound familiar, it’s a cult favourite.

There we have it! My entire weekend makeup routine, from day to night. I hope you all enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments down below you’re favourite makeup products right now!

I need a new eyebrow product. I’ve used the elf mini palette for a couple years now, and I’m tired of it lol.
